-11th Sunday after Pentecost-

God’s love, which gave His life for us, is not only for our individual blessing and salvation. It is also for the blessing and salvation of all creation in heaven and on earth that is suffering. To live in a world where all can coexist harmoniously, we must start with small acts of consideration and yielding, protecting the dignity of life. Mother Teresa once said, “We cannot all do great things. But we can all do small things with great love.” There is no task more important than restoring God’s image in us.

God will never abandon such people. He will continue to work until He makes us whole. And He will not give up until we know His love and live according to it. He is the One who shapes us again and again, just like God said through the prophet Jeremiah.

Let us come and worship in response to God’s unending love for us.

1. Jubilee Worship will be held onSeptember 7 at 11:30 AMin the main sanctuary. We invite all families—English Ministry and Youth Ministry families—to join us for this special new worship service. Please pray for and participate in this meaningful time together.

2. The Youth PTA meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, August 24, after lunch, 1:30 PM

3. The Youth Friday gatherings will begin on Friday, September 5th. 

-성령강림후 열한째 주일-

하나님께서 우리를 위하여 자신의 생명을 내어주신 사랑은 단지 개인적인 축복과 구원만을 위한 것이 아닙니다. 그것은 또한 고통받고 있는 하늘과 땅의 모든 피조물의 축복과 구원을 위한 것입니다. 모두가 조화롭게 공존하는 세상에서 살기 위해 우리는 작은 배려와 양보의 행동에서 시작해야 하며, 생명의 존엄을 지켜야 합니다. 마더 테레사는 이렇게 말했습니다. “우리는 모두 위대한 일을 할 수는 없습니다. 그러나 우리는 모두 위대한 사랑으로 작은 일을 할 수는 있습니다.” 우리 안에 하나님의 형상을 회복하는 것보다 더 중요한 일은 없습니다.

하나님은 이러한 사람들을 결코 버리지 않으십니다. 우리를 온전히 만드실 때까지 계속 일하실 것입니다. 우리가 하나님의 사랑을 알고 그 사랑에 따라 살게 될 때까지 포기하지 않으실 것입니다. 하나님은 토기장이를 통해 예레미야에게 말씀하신 것처럼 우리를 다시 빚어 가시는 분이십니다.

우리를 절대 포기하시지 않으시는 하나님 사랑 앞에 우리도 작은 사랑으로 반응하길 기도합니다.
