-10th Sunday after Pentecost-

Jesus came to earth in full obedience to God. Through Him, God demonstrated the perfect way to restore broken trust and rebellious hearts.Jesus became the perfect, holy sacrifice so that those who were once disobedient, distrustful, and rebellious could return to God without paying the penalty themselves. Yet there is one step we must take: we must acknowledge our condition and confess that we are in desperate need of salvation.

It is like my experience with my parents. I could not see their love clearly until I recognized it for what it was. Once I understood, my heart turned back toward them. In the same way, when we come to know the love of God through Jesus Christ, we begin to return to Him with a changed heart.

I hope that our generation can acknowledge our pride and turn back to the heart of God the Father. I pray that through our worship and fellowship, we may experience God’s love.

‼️ Announcements

1. Jubilee Worship will be held onSeptember 7 at 11:30 AMin the main sanctuary. We invite all families—English Ministry and Youth Ministry families—to join us for this special new worship service. Please pray for and participate in this meaningful time together.

2. Family Beach Daywill take place on Saturday, August 23 at 10:00 AMat Half Moon Beach. This year, we will join the whole church for a beach walk. 

- Family Beach Day will be a wonderful time to spend together as families. We will join the adults for worship and lunch (I heard the menu will be galbi), but youth families will enjoy games and beach volleyball separately.

- Each family will need to arrange their own ride. However, if parents are unable to attend, we will try to organize rides. Please let me or the committee chair know if there are any youth who will need a ride.

- The Youth Department does not need to prepare a separate lunch. Youth PTA will prepare drinks and snacks for the youth families.

3. The Youth PTA meeting is scheduled for Sunday, August 24, after lunch.

4. The Youth Friday gatherings will begin on Friday, September 5th.  

-성령강림후 열째 주일-

예수님은 하나님께 완전한 순종으로 이 땅에 오셨습니다. 그를 통해 하나님은 깨어진 신뢰와 반역한 마음을 회복하는 완전한 길을 보여주셨습니다. 예수님은 거룩하고 완전한 희생 제물이 되셔서, 한때 불순종하고 불신하며 반역하던 사람들이 스스로 대가를 치르지 않고도 하나님께 돌아올 수 있도록 하셨습니다. 그러나 우리가 반드시 해야 할 한 가지가 있습니다. 바로 우리의 상태를 인정하고, 우리가 구원이 절실히 필요함을 고백하는 것입니다.

이것은 부모님으로 부터 경험하는 것과 비슷합니다. 저는 부모님의 사랑을 제대로 알지 못하다가, 그 사랑을 깨닫게 되었을 때 비로소 제 마음이 그분들을 향해 돌아갔습니다. 마찬가지로 우리가 예수 그리스도를 통해 하나님의 사랑을 알게 될 때, 우리의 마음도 변화되어 하나님께로 돌아가기 시작합니다.

우리 세대가 우리의 교만을 인정하고 하나님 아버지의 마음으로 돌일킬 수 있으면 좋겠습니다. 그렇게 하기 위해 예배하며 서로를 통해 하나님의 사랑을 경험 할수 있기를 기도합니다.

1. Jubilee Worship이 9월 7일 오전 11:30분에 본당에서 있습니다. 모든 가족들 - 영어부, 유스부 가족들과 함께 새롭게 드려보는 예배에 많은 참여와 기도 부탁드립니다.

2. 패밀리 비치데이가 8월 23일 오전 10, Half Moon Beach에서 있습니다. 올해는 전교인 해변걷기에 함께 조인하게 됩니다.

• 패밀리 비치데이는 가족과 함께 시간을 보낼수 있는 좋은 시간입니다. 예배와 점심(메뉴는 갈비라고 들었습니다)은 어른들과 같이 먹겠지만 유스 가족들은 따로 게임과 비치 발리볼을 하며 즐거운 시간을 바닷가에서 보내면 좋겠습니다.

• 라이드는 각 가정으로 오시면 되시구요, 혹시 부모님께서 참석하지 못하시는 경우는 라이드를 구성해 보겠습니다. 저에게 혹은 위원장님께 라이드 따로 필요한 유스가 있으면 알려주시기 부탁드리겠습니다.

• 점심은 유스부에서 따로 준비 하지 않아도 됩니다. 유스패밀리가 먹을 음료수와 간식만 저희 유스부 PTA를 통해 준비해주시면 감사하겠습니다.

3. 유스부 PTA 미팅이 8월 24일 주일 점심후에 있을 예정입니다.

4. 유스부금요모임이 9월 5일금요일부터시작합니다.
