-9th Sunday after Pentecost-

This Summer, we had three amazing VBSs. Our Navajo mission team, the Korean English camp team, and all the volunteers who served at our church’s Vacation Bible School had a clear purpose in their hearts. It was to share the unique power of life and the joy of walking with Jesus that can only be found in the love of His cross.

Yes, we were born not just to exist, but to live as those who are called in this world: to worship God and to help others also experience and enjoy the God we worship.

But we know how difficult it is to get there. It takes time, personal sacrifice, patience with discomfort, yielding to others, and perseverance to the end for fruit to be borne.

So what kind of fruit has come from our service? At this moment, we may not fully know or see it, but we believe that through our words, praise, gratitude, sharing, and service, God has surely met with one soul…no, many souls. We believe that God has used us as vessels to carry out His work of salvation and that through our relationships, He is continuing to build relationships of love.

Tomorrow marks the start of a new semester, and it is the Sunday when we welcome the new students moving up to our youth group. I pray that the reason for our existence will be shared with joy through our worship and fellowship together.

‼️ Announcements

1. Jubilee Worship will be held onSeptember 7 at 11:30 AMin the main sanctuary. We invite all families—English Ministry and Youth Ministry families—to join us for this special new worship service. Please pray for and participate in this meaningful time together.

2. After the service, we will have a Welcome Gathering for the new 6th graders.

3. Promotion Party will be held on Friday, August 15 at 6:00 PM. For more details, please refer to the poster shared in the group announcement.

4. Family Beach Daywill take place on Saturday, August 23 at 10:00 AMat Half Moon Beach. This year, we will join the whole church for a beach walk. Further details will be coordinated with the Youth Ministry leadership team.

-성령강림후 9째 주일-

이번여름은 특별히 3번의 여름성경학교가 있었습니다. 우리 나바호 선교팀, 한국 영어성경학교 캠프팀, 그리고 교회 VBS에서 봉사한 모든 봉사자들의 마음에는 분명한 목적이 있었습니다. 그것은 오직 십자가의 사랑 안에서만 발견할 수 있는 생명의 특별한 능력과 예수님과 함께 걷는 기쁨을 나누는 것이었습니다.

맞습니다. 우리는 단순히 존재하기 위해 태어난 것이 아니라, 이 세상에서 부르심을 받은 자로서 하나님을 예배하고, 우리가 예배하는 그 하나님을 다른 이들도 경험하고 누리도록 돕기 위해 태어났습니다.

그러나 그 길에 이르는 것이 얼마나 어려운지 우리는 잘 압니다. 열매가 맺히기까지는 시간이 필요하고, 개인적인 희생이 요구되며, 불편함을 참아내는 인내와 다른 이를 위해 양보하는 마음, 그리고 끝까지 버티는 믿음이 필요합니다.

그렇다면 우리의 섬김을 통해 어떤 열매가 맺혔을까요? 지금 이 순간 우리는 그것을 다 알지도, 보지도 못할 수 있습니다. 그러나 우리의 말과 찬양, 감사, 나눔과 섬김을 통해 하나님께서 분명 한 영혼…아니, 많은 영혼들을 만나 주셨음을 믿습니다. 하나님께서 우리를 구원의 사역을 이루는 그릇으로 사용하셨으며, 우리의 관계를 통해 사랑의 관계를 계속 세워 가고 계심을 믿습니다.

내일 새로운 학기를 시작하며 유스부에 올라오는 친구들을 맞이하는 주일입니다. 함께 우리의 존재의 이유가 예배와 친교가운데 기쁨으로 나누어지길 기도합니다.
