-14th Sunday after Pentecost-

As I meditated on Zephaniah 3, I asked myself this question: “How can we become a community that seeks God’s will and dreams of His restoration?”

Just last Sunday, by God’s grace, our English Ministry, Korean Ministry, and Youth Ministry came together for the very first time to hold Jubilee Worship. It was a precious time to create a spiritual space for our generation and the next generation who are facing an unstable and confusing world. Through Jubilee Worship, we crossed generational gaps, overcame barriers of language and culture, and looked together to God as one body.

This is the kind of space our community must continue to dream of. In a broken world, the church must become a place of worship where God’s presence is restored in all generations. Wherever we go, we must reflect His presence. We must become His holy temple so that all creation may see His holiness through us.

‼️ Announcement

1. Friday Gathering continues this Friday. This week - Bible study on UMC belief on Grace

2. Teacher Eric Kimn will deliver message this Sunday.

3. 11-12 grade will meet after lunch service

4. Lunch serving assignment:

*11-12 grade: inside the kitchen area - distribute rice, meat, seaweed, and put soup in bowls

*9-10 grade boys: deliver soups to each person

6-8 grade boys: deliver water to each person

*6-10 grade girls: Isle table set up and distribute - kimchi, spoons, chopsticks, and napkins

*6-9 grade (4 volunteers): help to separate compost and landfill garbage

*Everyone: help clean up table after lunch

 

 

 

-성령강림후 열넷째 주일-

스바냐 3장을 묵상하면서 우리 교회를 생각하며 적용한 질문은 ‘어떻게 하나님의 뜻을 헤아리며 하나님의 회복을 꿈꾸는 공동체가 될 것인가?’였습니다.

지난주에 하나님의 은혜로 저희 영어부와 한어부, 그리고 유스부가 하나가 되어 Jubilee Worship을 처음 드렸습니다. 급격히 변해가는 세상과 가치속에 혼돈스럽고 불안한 미래를 바라보는 우리세대와 다음세대를 위한 영적인 공간을 만드는 시간이었습니다. 세대간의 차이를 줄이고, 언어와 문화의 장벽도 넘어서며, 하나님을 바라보며 하나가 되기 위한 귀한 예배를 드렸습니다. 

주빌리 워십은 앞으로 우리 공동체가 꿈꿔야 하는 공간입니다. 황페하고 거친 세상에서 하나님을 온전히 바라보며 예배하는 교회를 만들어야 합니다. 우리안에 하나님의 임재를 회복하여 우리가 가는 곳 마다 하나님의 임재를 드러내야 합니다. 우리가 하나님의 거룩한 성소가 되어 이땅에 창조물들이 하나님의 거룩을 볼수 있게 하여야 합니다. 그 일을 위해서 우리가 모여 예배하고 연합하고 다음 세대를 일으킬수 있도록 기도했으면 좋겠습니다.

1. 유스부 금요모임이 매주 금요일 오후 7시에 있습니다. 이번주는 성경공부 - 은혜에 대해 배웁니다.

2. 이번주는 한달에 한번씩 말씀으로 봉사해주시는 김경석 권사님(유스 설교 선생님)께서 말씀을 전해 주십니다.

3. 점심후 11-12학년 고등부 친구들 모임을 갖습니다.

4. 점심 친교 봉사 당번:

> 주방안: 11 & 12 학년 - 밥, 고기, 김 배분; 국(파) 그릇에 담기

> 서빙: 물 (6 & 8 학년 남자); 국 (9 & 10 학년 남자)

> 중간 서빙 테이블: 6-10 학년 여자 - 김치, 수저, 넵프킨 나누어 드리기

> 음식물/쓰레기 분리 도와 드리기: 6-9 학년 중 4명
