5th Sunday after Easter

To abide in Jesus is not a passive act. It is a daily choice. It is a constant return to the source of love. And love is radical. It is not mere emotion. It is sacrificial, limitless, without measure or condition. It is the kind of love that lays down his or her life for friends.

Can you imagine a world that fears you and stands in awe of you, not because of power or prestige, but because you radiate grace and compassion by abiding in Jesus?

I pray and hope that our youth will grow up with the deep awareness that their worth is not defined by worldly standards, but by God's heavenly standard. May they radiate with God's grace and go on to transform the world. Let’s make that happen one step at a time.

‼️ Announcements

1 Graduation Party, this Friday at 7 PM. Please help all our youth can attend.

2 Graduation Ceremony will take place during the second service on June 1. For those graduating HS & MS, there will be a rehearsal on Sunday, May 25, after lunch in the main sanctuary.

3 Summer Retreat will be held from June 15 - June 18. Early Registration is closing today. After today, fee is $300. We appreciate it if you register through the link below.

4 Memorial Day, May 26, we will have an outing at Great America. Please give the participation fee to the committee chair.

5 All VBS teams: Praise team practice today at 1:30 PM. The Korean VBS team meeting will be held separately on June 1 at 1:30 PM.

부활절 후 다섯째 주일

예수님 안에 거한다는 것은 수동적인 자세가 아닙니다. 그것은 매일의 선택이며, 사랑의 근원으로 돌아가고자 갈망하는 삶입니다. 사랑은 급진적인 행동을 요구합니다. 감정에 이끌리는 것이 아니라, 희생적이며, 한계 없고, 조건 없이 주는 사랑입니다. 사랑은 친구(이웃)를 위해 자기 생명까지 내어주는 것입니다.

그런 삶을 꿈꿔 보신 적 있으신가요? 권력이나 명예 때문에가 아니라, 예수님 안에 거하기 때문에, 은혜와 긍휼이 넘치기 때문에 세상이 여러분을 두려워하고 경외하는 모습 말입니다.

저는 우리 유스들이 세상의 기준이 아닌 하나님의 나라 기준에 의해 자신의 가치를 인식하며 자라나기를 기도하고 소망합니다. 그들이 하나님의 은혜로 빛나며 세상을 변화시키는 사람이 되기를 바랍니다. 함께 한 걸음씩 그 길을 만들어 가기를 소망합니다.

1. 유스부 졸업 파티가 금주 금요일 오후 7시에 있습니다. 우리 모든 유스들 꼭 참석할 수 있도록 도와 주세요.

2. 유스부 졸업식이 6월 1일 2부 예배때 있습니다. 졸업하는 친구들은 리허설이 5월 25일 주일 점심후 본당에서 있습니다.

3. 유스부 수련회가 6월 15 (주일오후)-18일 (수요일오전)에 열립니다. Early 등록을 오늘 마감합니다. 오늘까지 등록 하시면 $250, 이후는 $300입니다. 아래 링크를 통해 등록 해주시면 감사하겠습니다.
