*Third Sunday of Easter*

Have You Lost Your Hearing?

Once there was a man who dared God to speak.

Burn the bush like you did for Moses, God.

And I will follow.

Collapse the walls like you did for Joshua, God.

And I will fight.

Still the waves like you did on Galilee, God.

And I will listen.

And so the man sat by a bush, near a wall, close to the sea and waited for God to speak.

And God heard the man, so God answered.

He sent fire, not for a bush, but for a church.

He brought down a wall, not of brick, but of sin.

He stilled a storm, not of the sea, but of a soul.

And God waited for the man to respond.

And he waited ...

And he waited...

And waited.

But because the man was looking at bushes, not hearts; bricks and not lives, seas and not souls, he decided that God had done nothing.

Finally he looked to God and asked, Have you lost your power?

And God looked at him and said, Have you lost your hearing?

I hope you’ve had a peaceful week. Tomorrow, in celebration of Children’s Sunday, Children’s Ministry will be enjoying a Spring Festival. There will also be a bazaar hosted by the Women’s Group, and our Youth Group will be participating in fundraising as well.

I sincerely pray that as all members of our church come together for a joyful time of fellowship and celebration, we may also sense the Lord’s laughter among us, feel His giving hands, and see the attentive gaze of His loving eyes.

 

**Tomorrow, even youth students will buy lunch for the Mission Fundraising. Please bring your lunch money.**

1. Those who serve the Fundraising event at the morning shift, please come to church by 9:30AM

(*Morning shift youth participate CM game after Lunch; afternoon shift youth join the game after fundraising is over at round 1:30 PM)

2. This Friday is Sports Day. Please come prepared. This is our last game this semester!

3. This Saturday - For Parent’s Sunday, we’ll make carnation boutonnière at 4PM. Please come and help us make flowers for all our parents.

(*We need your help to pin flowers to parents for the 1st Service. If you can come by 9AM on May 11, Sunday, please let us know)

4. Graduation Party - May 23, Friday at 7 PM. Mark your calendar. 

5. Youth Retreat registration is now open. Please start register through the link provided below. If you register before 5/17, $250; after is $300. Please register early.

 *부활절 후 셋째주일 // 어린이 주일*

당신의 귀는 멀었는가?

한 남자가 감히 하나님께 말했다.
“하나님, 말씀해 주세요.”
“모세에게 하셨던 것처럼 떨기나무에 불을 붙이신다면, 제가 따르겠습니다.”
“여호수아에게 하셨던 것처럼 성벽을 무너뜨리신다면, 제가 싸우겠습니다.”
“갈릴리에서처럼 파도를 잠잠케 하신다면, 제가 듣겠습니다.”

그래서 그는 떨기나무 옆에, 성벽 가까이에, 바다 곁에 앉아 하나님이 말씀하시기를 기다렸다.

하나님은 그 남자의 말을 들으셨고, 응답하셨다.
불을 보내셨지만 떨기나무가 아니라 교회에 보내셨다.
성벽을 무너뜨리셨지만 벽돌이 아니라 죄의 벽을 무너뜨리셨다.
폭풍을 잠잠케 하셨지만 바다가 아니라 한 영혼의 마음을 평온케 하셨다.

그리고 하나님은 그 남자가 반응하기를 기다리셨다.
기다리셨다…
또 기다리셨다…
계속 기다리셨다.

그러나 그 남자는 떨기나무만 보고 마음을 보지 못했고,
벽돌만 보고 삶을 보지 못했고,
바다만 보고 영혼을 보지 못했기에,
하나님이 아무것도 하지 않으셨다고 생각했다.

마침내 그는 하나님을 향해 물었다.
“하나님, 당신은 능력을 잃으셨습니까?”

하나님은 그를 바라보며 말씀하셨다.
“아니, 너의 귀가 멀은 것이 아니냐?”

한주도 평안하셨는지요? 내일은 어린이 주일을 맞이하여 초등부에서 봄축제를 즐깁니다. 여선교회 바자회도 있고 저희 유스부도 펀드레이징에 동참합니다. 교회 모든 식구들이 함께 어울려 좋은 시간, 즐거운 교제 나누는 가운데 주님의 웃음소리, 나누어 주시는 주님의 손길, 집중해 봐 주시는 주님의 눈 빛도 볼수 있는 시간 되기를 간절히 기도합니다.

*내일은 모두 점심을 사서 먹습니다. 유스들도 의미있는 일에 참여 하도록 준비 해 주시면 감사하겠습니다.*

1. 내일 펀드레이징 오전 섬김이는 9시 반까지 교회로 와주세요. 오전 섬김이는 점심이후 씨엠 게임에 참여하고, 오후 섬김이들도 판매이후 게임에 참여합니다.

2. 이번주 금요일 - 스포츠 데이 입니다. 이번학기 마지막 운동하는 날인데요, 배구 실력이 조금씩 늘어가는 것 같습니다. 함께 참여해 주시는 아버지들께 감사드립니다.

3. 이번주 토요일 - 부모님주일에 유스부가 카네이션을 준비합니다. 토요일 오후 4시에 교회에서 모이도록 하겠습니다. 

4. 부모님 주일 (어머니날) 주일 오전에 꽃장식 달아줄 친구들이 필요합니다. 교회 오전 9시까지 모여야 하는데 가능한 친구들 있으면 알려주세요.

5 유스부 졸업 파티가 5월 23일 금요일 오후 7시에 있습니다. 칼렌더에 저장해주세요!

6. 유스부수련회가 6월 15 (주일오후)-18일 (수요일오전)에열립니다. 등록을시작하였습니다. 5월 17일전까지등록하시면 $250, 이후는 $300입니다. 아래링크를통해등록해주시면감사하겠습니다.
