사순절 둘째주 유스부 공지

하나님의 통치의 회복, 희년의 해는 예수님께서 이 땅을 걸으시면서 시작되었습니다. 예수님은 단순히 가난한 사람들에게 음식을 나눠주는 자선의 일로 자아 만족의 길을 택하지 않았고, 로마 제국으로부터 정치적 독립을 추구하며 히브리 민족주의의 깃발을 들지도 않았습니다. 예수님은 자신의 명성을 쌓거나 초자연적인 능력을 과시하기 위해 맹인을 고치신 것도 아니었습니다.

그 대신 가난한 사람들을 위해 자신을 내어주셔서 그들의 “생명의 빵”이 되셨습니다. 그분은 원수까지도 용서하시며 평화를 가져오기 위해 자신을 내어주셨습니다. 그분은 상처받은 사람들을 치유하기 위해 자신의 모든 것을 주셨고, 그들이 창조주의 진실하고 부드러운 사랑을 만날 수 있도록 하셨습니다. 그분은 한때 우리를 무가치하고 죄 많고 저주받은 존재라고 선언했던 세상의 심판보다 더 큰 사랑을 보여주셨습니다.

그러니 우리는 하나님의 형상대로 지음 받았기에 우리를 아름답게 보시는 주님께 나아가 예배합시다.

???? 2nd Sunday of Lent ????

The restoration of God’s reign, the Year of Jubilee, began when Jesus walked the earth. He did not take the self-serving path of merely handing out food to the poor, nor did He raise the banner of Hebrew nationalism, seeking political independence from the Roman Empire. He did not heal the blind to amass His fame or showcase His supernatural power. 

Instead, He gave Himself for the poor, becoming their “bread.” He gave Himself to bring peace, forgiving even His enemies. He gave all of Himself to heal the broken, so that they might encounter the true and tender love of their Creator. He demonstrated a love greater than the world’s judgment, which once declared us worthless, sinful, and cursed. 

So, let us come and worship the Lord who sees us beautiful because we are made in His image.
